How to get to the Hamilton 400
By Car
If you are driving to the event, there is no or restricted public parking within a 2km zone of the race circuit. Use the Park N Ride facility.
By Train
Tranz Scenic is running a special charter service from Newmarket (Auckland) to Hamilton and back for $70 per adult and $55 per child return. The service will have a buffet car onboard, with breakfast, light snacks and hot and cold beverages. Book online or from within NZ call 0800 TRAINS (872 467) or +64 4 495 0775. It's a 15-minute walk from Hamilton Railway Station to the corner of Lake Rd and King St track entrance.
Park N Ride
There is one Park N Ride facility at Ruakura Rd/Silverdale Rd at Ruakura. From Auckland it will be signposted off SH1 at Taupiri, and if coming from the east at Cambridge through to this Park N Ride. The cost is $10 per vehicle that includes parking and transport to and from the venue for all passengers in the vehicle.
The Park N Ride is open from 6.30am and will be have security until 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Buses will travel regularly to and from the venue. The final bus will leave the venue at 7.30pm, but if you move on to the Central City restaurants or bars following the event, you can catch the Night Rider bus until 3am on Victoria St that will stop at the Park N Ride facility. Tickets for the Park N Ride are available online at www.ticketek.co.nz or at the parking facility.
No food or refreshments may be taken into the event. Food and drinks will be on sale. If you have a medical condition that requires a special diet, email v8supercars@csml.co.nz to arrange a clearance letter.
