The Edmonton Oilers will make their first appearance in the Stanley Cup ice hockey finals since 1990 after defeating the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim 2-1 yesterday to win the Western Conference final.
The Oilers, seeded eighth in the conference playoffs, won the best-of-seven series 4-1 and will face either the Buffalo Sabres or the Carolina Hurricanes for the Cup.
Oilers goaltender Dwayne Roloson made 32 saves for his 12th victory of the playoffs.
