KEY POINTS:
The New Zealand ice hockey team today moved clear at the top of their divisional world championships in Ireland with a 10-1 win over Mongolia.
The victory at Dundalk took them three points above their nearest division 3 rivals and on target for immediate promotion back to division 2.
The result also gave the Ice Blacks their longest winning streak (three) in international hockey, as well as their longest undefeated run (five), which includes a win and a draw against Italian clubs in build-up fixtures.
Braden Lee scored a hat-trick, while Simon Glass chipped in two goals as New Zealand dominated throughout against bottom-of-the-table Mongolia.
Man of the match was Corey Down, who finished with one goal and four assists, and was on the ice for seven of the Ice Blacks' goals.
New Zealand's final opponents are South Africa on Sunday morning (NZT).
