Homegrown daredevil to take on the biggest Nitro Circus ramp during New Zealand tour

One of the world's most outrageous action sports shows is back in the country and set to thrill fans at Eden Park this Saturday.

Adrenaline junkies will be kept on the edge of their seats when Nitro Circus returns with their new, boundary-breaking You Got This stadium tour.

Taupō daredevil Jed Mildon will get back on the pedals for the show, featuring one of the biggest ramps ever seen in BMX and FMX.

Mildon first caught the eye of Nitro Circus organisers in 2011 after he beat their riders to completing the world's first triple backflip on a BMX bike.

"I just knew from the moment I first hit this ramp six weeks ago in Montreal, that New Zealand had to have this ramp," he said.

"The FMX boys have done such a great job progressing their sport over the past 12 months, it's now our time to catch up on the Giganta side.

"With this brand new ramp technology, I cannot wait to throw down in front of my people, in what will be the best shows New Zealand has ever seen."

A stable of the show, the Giganta ramp has been improved and altered to make it bigger and more extravagant.

The 55-foot (16.7m) ramp has a takeoff kicker more than 3m taller than anything Nitro Circus has toured with before.

More than 30,000 tickets have been sold already to the shows in Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Wellington and Christchurch.
