The New Zealand women's hockey team selectors are sure to have had some robust discussions in selecting the squad for next month's World League semi-finals in Belgium.
The Black Sticks used 33 players in the recent five-nil series win over India, but coach Mark Hager can only take 18 players to Brussels.
Hager says there's always the senior ones who can be guaranteed, but there will still be a few spots of contention.
The squad will be named this week.
