New Zealand men's hockey star Hayden Shaw received news today that took him by surprise.
The Black Sticks defender has been named in a World Hockey All Stars team in Switzerland this morning.
Shaw says it is a complete surprise. In fact, he says he did not even know the team was being named.
Journalists at the World Cup cast the deciding votes, along with fans who voted on the website of the International Hockey Federation.
Hayden Shaw is currently playing for Denbosch in the Dutch national league.
