Hockey New Zealand's incoming High Performance Director sees a promising future in the sport.
Paul MacKinnon will take up the role next month as Hockey New Zealand with the current Olympic cycle a firm focus.
MacKinnon says from his understanding, there are around 70 thousand registered players in New Zealand which shows a huge amount of growth over the past few years.
MacKinnon says the Black Sticks are really setting an example by the way they aspire to be the best they can and attitude to perform which can only be a good thing for future growth.
