Two late goals inflated the scoreline as the Netherlands beat New Zealand 4-0 in the Champions Trophy international women's hockey tournament in the Netherlands today.
The New Zealanders scrambled well to hold the world's No 1 team to two goals before conceding another two in the closing 10 minutes in Amsterdam.
It was New Zealand's second loss of the tournament after they opened their account by going down 0-3 to Argentina.
They then showed significant improvement to hold Australia to a 0-0 draw on Monday (NZ time).
