Favourites the Netherlands failed to qualify for the semifinals of the hockey World Cup yesterday after hosts Germany and South Korea played out a dull 0-0 draw to both go through to the last four.
Germany topped group B on goal difference ahead of the Koreans and will play Australia or Spain for a place in the final, depending on the result of Australia's final group A match against Pakistan.
The Netherlands result meant New Zealand missed out on a place in the Champions Trophy.
