The New Zealand women's hockey team have collected their second win over China with another 2-1 victory in Beijing last night.
Youngster Petrea Webster opened the scoring just before halftime when she sent a loose ball in the circle over the keeper. The lead was extended early in the second spell when Charlotte Harrison also pounced on a loose ball in the circle to smash it into the left hand corner.
China responded in the 49th minute but couldn't knock in the equaliser.
Black Sticks coach Mark Hager said he was pleased with the first half effort but again the team's structure fell apart in the second spell.
"Thankfully our deep defence coped well in that second spell to keep us in the game," he said.
