KUALA LUMPUR - The New Zealand mens hockey team have beaten hosts Malaysia 3-1 at the 14th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup tournament here overnight.
Philip Burrows, Blair Hopping and Bryce Collin were the goal scorers for New Zealand.
It was the kiwis' second win of the tournament. A victory against South Korea in their final game would put them through to a play-off for third and fourth place.
Meanwhile Australia, who are contenders for the final, swamped a hapless South Africa side 8-3.
