The New Zealand women's hockey team drew 1-1 with India overnight (NZT) in Amsterdam in their final buildup match to the Champions Trophy starting on Saturday.
After beating India 4-0 yesterday, the Black Sticks conceded a first half goal, but defender Clarissa Eshuis responded to level the match after the break.
Coach Ian Rutledge said the equalising goal was pleasing, but the overall performance was down after yesterday's convincing performance.
"It has been a very tiring couple of days with training and two matches in a row in hot conditions, but the girls now have a day and a half to recover before we meet Argentina on Saturday."
