Experienced New Zealand midfielder Casey Henwood today announced his retirement from international hockey.
Henwood, 28, played 88 tests for his country since his debut in 2003, and was named on Saturday in the Black Sticks squad.
In calling it a day on the international stage, Henwood acknowledged the support of several coaches and managers during his career, and has wished the current team well in their 2010 World Cup campaign.
