Hockey: Bennett gets trophy call-up

Auckland defender Sandy Bennett, who missed last month's tests against Australia through injury, has been named in the national hockey squad who will contest the Champions Trophy in Holland.

A final decision on her fitness will be made by Wednesday, the day before the team leave. Canterbury fullback Di Weavers, at present playing club hockey in Germany, has been included as cover.

New Zealand will play two warm-up matches (tests) in Germany before the Champions Trophy tournament, which starts in Holland on August 18.
