Australain Alyson Annan took to the Black Sticks this afternoon when she scored four of her team's five goals - including a hat-trick within 14 minutes - in their 5-2 victory at Albany.
The Hockeyroos - who are the current World and Olympic champions - were ahead 4-1 after just 20 minutes.
Annan had powered home three goals in that time while New Zealand skipper Suzie Pearce replied with a goal - the result of the home side's first penalty corner.
Next Australian Katrina Powell brought up her hundredth goal with the visitor's fourth.
A determined New Zealand fought on in the second half with another penalty goal from Pearce.
But it was not enough to stop Annan who scored again to seal her team's second test win.
The third test will be played Hamilton tomorrow.
