Former All Black coach Sir Graham Henry is to mentor Argentine coaches, the New Zealand and Argentine rugby unions announced this morning.
Sir Graham will be a part-consultant mentoring the South American country's high performance coaches. The World Cup winning coach was appointed earlier this year to a similar position with New Zealand's Super Rugby and ITM Cup teams.
NZRU high performance manager Don Tricker said Sir Graham had the union's blessing to take up the role, where he will be mentoring age-grade and national coaches.
"It's in everyone's interest for Argentine rugby to develop as they prepare to enter this year's new Investec Rugby Championship (alongside New Zealand, Australia and South Africa). Their inclusion in the new competition is exciting for everyone and will be a historic moment in the history of Southern Hemisphere rugby."
Sir Graham said he was looking forward to the "exciting but also extremely challenging" opportunity.
