Romania beat Hungary 26-24 in St Petersburg yesterday to reach the final of the women's handball world championship for the first time in over three decades.
Romania will play the winner of the second semifinal between 2001 world champions Russia and three-times Olympic gold medallists Denmark in today's final.
The Romanians won their first and only world title on their home court in 1962 and also reached the final in 1973, losing to the former Yugoslavia.
