Former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram's car has been shot at in Karachi after a traffic collision.
Akram was not hurt in the attack, which took place near the National Stadium in Karachi's Karsaz area and local police said the shooting occured due to a case of road rage.
The49-year-old is very popular in Pakistan and he was on his way to a training camp when a gunman opened fire on his car.
Akram told local media: "A car crashed into my vehicle and when I asked him to pull over, he stepped out and opened fire. He was definitely an official, I have noted the number of the car and given it to the police."
The police told media they were searching for the owners of the car that crashed into Akram's vehicle.
His manager Arsalan Hyder said on ESPNcricinfo: "Wasim was driving himself, and the car next to him tried to jam his car to one side and opened fire. He did not get hit, he is now at the National Stadium, dealing with police formalities."
Akram is Pakistan's all-time leading test wicket taker with 414 and he also took 502 ODI wickets in his 19-year internation career that ended when he retired in 2003.
