KEY POINTS:
New Zealand golfer Tim Wilkinson scrambled to an even par 72 in the third round of the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Classic at the La Quinta Country Club course in California.
But it was not enough to stop his slide down the leaderboard, finishing in a tie for 102nd after starting the day in joint 77th.
Wilkinson, who began the tournament with a three-under 69, had a one-over 73 yesterday and his total of 214 put him 16 shots behind leader Robert Gamez of the United States.
The classic is being played over five days. The first four rounds are pro-am, with pros only playing the final round.
Wilkinson scored three birdies today which were cancelled out by three bogeys.
