SYDNEY - Australian golfing legend Greg Norman and his partner Kirsten Kutner have revealed that they are engaged.
Norman told New Idea magazine how he proposed to Kutner, unexpectedly presenting her with a six-carat diamond ring.
"One minute we were having a day-to-day conversation and the next moment, all of a sudden, everything changed - our lives changed," he said.
"It was perfect."
Kutner, an interior designer who grew up in Sydney's northern suburbs, says Norman is "the big love of my life".
"I am definitely the luckiest woman on this earth. I am so blessed to have such an amazing man to share my life with," she said.
Norman, 55, has been married twice before. He and Laura Andrassy divorced in 2006 after 25 years of marriage.
Then, in 2008, he married tennis player Chris Evert at a ceremony in the Bahamas, but the marriage lasted only 18 months.
Less than six months after divorcing Evert, Norman went public with his relationship with new love Kutner - a mother of two who is about 14 years his junior.
Nicknamed "the Shark", Norman was the world's number one-ranked golfer for 331 weeks in the 1980s and 1990s.
