KEY POINTS:
Overnight rain has delayed the resumption of play in the New Zealand PGA championship golf tournament here today.
The second round yesterday was suspended without a ball being struck because of rain and similar conditions greeted early starters at the Clearwater course today.
There seems every chance that the tournament - a co-sanctioned event on the US Nationwide and Australasian tours - will not go the full 72 holes.
After the suspension of play yesterday officials had planned to second round today before fitting in 36 holes tomorrow. That plan is looking increasingly unlikely with bunkers flooded on the course.
