World No 1 golfer Tiger Woods has endorsed New Zealand as the next venue for the President's Cup outside the United States. In the wake of the International team's convincing win over the Americans at Royal Melbourne on Sunday, much of the talk focused on where the President's Cup would be held after it goes back to the United States in two years. "I think it should go to another country represented by the International team, like New Zealand or Japan, even South Africa or Zimbabwe," Woods said. Australian champion Greg Norman also mentioned New Zealand as a possible venue in 2002.
