After Tiger Woods' agent Mark Steinberg announced Woods would not play for the rest of the season, it would seem the former World No. 1s window for winning another major is almost closed.
Woods has not competed anywhere since last August, and will miss all four of the year's major championships for the first time in his career.
The 40-year-old has not won a tournament since 2013, and hasn't won a major since 2008.
Woods is currently sitting second all-time for major wins with 14, four behind leader Jack Nicklaus.
Woods, who made 11 starts on the PGA Tour last season and just seven the season before, had his first back surgery in early 2014. A second microdisectomy was performed last September with a follow-up procedure six weeks later.
