Do you love getting out on the golf course, but hate the fact that you suck at golf? If so FootGolf may be for you.
The American FootGolf league claims to combine the social aspects of golf with the excitement and skill of football, and is a real sport, with real rules.
There are over thirty countries that play the game and 12 of those belong to the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG), who are hopeful the sport will one day be played at the Olympics.
It may look like a novelty option for a stag-weekend, but the guys at FIFG seem confident it will soon catch on. It seems only a matter of time until Gulf Harbour opens up their greens to some size 11 studs and supersized holes.
Not really, but as an Olympic sport it still probably makes more sense than the modern pentathlon.
