Lydia Ko forced her way into near contention before a late clutch of bogeys stalled her late run at the HSBC Champions tournament in Singapore.
The world No 1 claimed an eagle and three birdies in her opening 12 holes yesterday as she edged towards a top five finish. However three bogeys late in her round stalled that push as she signed for a 69.
Ko finished 15th after admitting she had trouble judging the line and speed on some of the huge greens. She finished seven under par with rounds of 71, 74, 67 and 69.
"I had a good front nine but didn't finish very well, so that was a little disappointing.
Overall the weekend was some pretty solid golf, so I'm proud of that," Ko said.
"I feel like it could have been better. I didn't hole that many putts this week but I tried to give myself quite a few opportunities over the weekend."
