It's fair to say July has been a pretty good month for Kiwi golfer Ryan Fox.
Following his career best finish at a major this morning, when Fox finished 39th at the British Open, he took his earnings this month to NZ$1,576,000 (€913,000) in prize money over four tournaments.
The amount is mainly due to a second placing at the Irish Open which brought a payday of NZ$1,149,000. The following week he finished sixth at theScottish Open earning another NZ$310,000.
In three weeks Fox has won twice what he earned in prize money since January (NZ$710,000).
A professional since 2015, the 31-year-old is in the shape of his career. Playing the weekend at the British Open meant he's made the cut at the last two majors following a finish of tied-41st at the US Open.
