New Zealand professional golfer Richard Lee has delivered under pressure on the Japan Golf Tour with a five-under par 67 as he fights for his tour card at the Toshin Golf Tournament in Lake Wood this morning.
Lee's previous best result since his return to the Japan Tour this year was a tie for 31st at the Diamond Cup, but he showed his quality in a bogey-free round.
He went out in two-under with a 34, made another birdie on the 12th hole and came home strong with two birdies in the final two holes.
Lee is four shots back from first round leader Kiyoshi Miyazato (63).
Meanwhile, in Europe at the KLM Open Michael Campbell is in a share of 34th place after seven holes as rain ended played early on day one.
