New Zealand golfer Danny Lee has come too close for comfort with an alligator as he prepares for the Zurich Classic in New Orleans.
Lee, who is pairing up with Sweden's David Lingmerth for the rare teams event on the PGA Tour, had the misfortune of hitting one of his practice round shots close to an alligator.
Lee tried to budge the gator by prodding it with a bunker rake - perhaps not the wisest decision - but the animal was quite content to remain in his sweet position on the edge of the water hazard.
The 27-year-old, who has made his last three cuts after a prior lean patch of form, joked on Instagram that he almost wet himself during the encounter.
