NZ Golf has named some exciting young newcomers among the 16 players announced yesterday for the 2010-2011 Srixon Academy squad.
Cecilia Cho and Lydia Ko are among five new golfers named in the squad, while four players make a return.
The academy incorporates the best amateur players in the country who receive a wide range of support services from NZ Golf to develop their talent.
NZ strokeplay champion Brad Kendall, 19, (Bay of Plenty), Waikato's Mathew Perry, 23, and Simon Brownlee, 18, (North Harbour), are the newcomers in the 10-strong male squad while NZ amateur champion Cho, 15, (Auckland) and Ko, 13, (North Harbour), make their first appearance in the female squad.
