Manawatu's Tim Wilkinson has fired a one-over 71 during the second round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Texas on the PGA Tour to slip back to a share of 17th place at three-under.
After opening with a four-under 66 yesterday, the left-hander made two birdies and three bogeys during his second round today and is now four shots back from leader Brice Garnett (-7).
Fellow Kiwi Danny Lee produced a solid one-under 69 in his second round to move in to a tie for 47th at even par as he safely made the cut.
Meanwhile, on the second-tier Web.com Tour, Hamilton's Steven Alker missed the cut at the Rex Hospital Open in North Carolina after he fired an even-par 71 during his second round today.
Alker opened with a two-over par 73 yesterday and missed the cut by three strokes.
