Manawatu professional Tim Wilkinson is off the pace after the third round of the final stage of qualifying for next year's PGA Tour.
Wilkinson, who shot scores of 70 and 74 in the opening two rounds in California, carded a three over par 75 to drop over 50 places to a share of 134th and out of contention in a field of 170.
He needs to finish inside the top 25 to gain entry to the Tour on his fifth appearance at the final stage of PGA Tour qualifying
The final stage of qualifying involves six rounds and is being staged at the Nicklaus Tournament and the Stadium courses in La Quinta.
