Tim Wilkinson has vaulted up the world golf rankings after finishing second equal in the Texas Open in the United States yesterday.
The New Zealand left-hander is 243rd on the updated rankings released today, an improvement of 88 places.
Wilkinson began the year at 668th in the world before posting three top-10 finishes in his rookie season on the PGA Tour.
With four events remaining on the tour schedule, he has won US$1.12 million ($1.90 million) to sit 84th on the moneylist and confirm his card for next season.
Mark Brown remains the best ranked New Zealander at 85th, with David Smail 123rd and Michael Campbell 183rd.
