New Zealand golfer Tim Wilkinson saved his worst for last but it was good enough to earn him a top-10 finish on the Nationwide Tour in the United States yesterday.
Wilkinson shot a final-round 72 at the Utah Classic to finish in a share of seventh place on eight-under 280,
five strokes behind the winner, Garrett Willis, of the US.
That earned Wilkinson US$14,804 ($20,975) and saw him improve 16 places to 65th on the Tour's money-list with tournament income of US$62,170 ($88,130).
Eleven shots behind Wilkinson was fellow New Zealander Grant Waite, who closed with 73 to finish in a share of 61st place.
Waite is 92nd on the money-list with US$39,575 ($56,100) and another New Zealander, Steve Alker, is 78th with US$54,749 ($77,580).
