New Zealand professional Tim Wilkinson bounced back in the second round but it wasn't enough as he missed the cut by one shot at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open on the Nationwide Tour.
Wilkinson, currently 18th on the Nationwide Order of Merit, shot a three under par 68 at the Le Triomphe Country Club in Louisiana to climb over 30 places into a share of 66th.
The former PGA Tour player made four birdies and a bogey as he tried to build on his good start to 2012 where he finished tied ninth in Panama and tied 12th in Chile.
He finished on a three under total and missed the cut mark of four under par.
It is early days but Wilkinson needs to finish inside the top 25 on the Nationwide Tour money list to automatically qualify for the PGA Tour in 2013.
