New Zealand golfer Grant Waite needs one more solid round to get back on the full PGA Tour after another sub-par round at the tour's final qualifying school in the United States today.
Waite, who lost his full PGA Tour status last year, shot a four under-par 68 for a 12 under-par 348 total after five rounds.
He started round with five birdies and a par in the first six holes but a bogey on the seventh saw him finish the first nine four-under 32.
He had further bogeys on the 12 and 18 but birdies on the 14th and 17th ensured the addition of a solid round to go with his 67 in the fourth round and 68 in the third.
He shot 73 in the first round and a 72 in the second.
New Zealanders Steven Alker, Michael Long and Tim Wilkinson were still playing the fifth round. They will all need exceptional rounds tomorrow to secure PGA Tour cards.
