New Zealand golfer Grant Waite had his best result of the year when finishing seventh in the Chattanaooga Classic in the United States yesterday.
Waite scored a closing round of six-under 66 and a tournament card of 20-under 268 in the US$450,000 ($650,000) secondary Nationwide Tour event in Tennessee.
He was two shots shy of a four-way playoff.
Another New Zealander, Steve Alker, finished in a share of 42nd with 277.
