South African golfer Charl Schwartzel almost pulled out of the Portugal Masters third round through injury before timely treatment allowed him to play on to go joint second behind Argentina's Daniel Vancsik yesterday.
Schwartzel, 23, holed from 104m for an eagle on the long 17th as he carded a six-under 66 to join Briton Steve Webster, 67, on 17-under 199, one stroke behind overnight leader Vancsik, who shot 68.
