Danny Lee's breakthrough season on the PGA Tour has continued with the Kiwi golfer finishing in a tie for fourth at the Quicken Loans National today.
It is Lee's third top-five finish in his last four events, following his win at the Greenbrier Classic and his third placing at the John Deere Classic.
Lee posted four birdies and two bogies in his two-under round of 69, moving up eight spots on the leaderboard as scoring toughened in the final round.
He ended at 12-under for the tournament, six shots behind first-time PGA Tour winner, American Troy Merritt, who followed his third-round 61 with a final round 67 to win by three shots over Rickie Fowler.
Lee is now in the lofty heights of 11th on the FedEx Cup rankings, and is a good shot at gaining a spot on the Presidents Cup side later this year.
