Phil Tataurangi faces plenty of pressure heading into the business end of the New Zealand Golf Open in Arrowtown today.
The 38-year-old New Zealander starts today's third round at seven under par, in a share of sixth place and five shots off the leader American Robert Gates.
Tataurangi says there are always extra challenges when playing in front of home fans but he says he has coped so far.
Brad Iles and Josh Geary are also well places at six under, while David Smail is a shot further back after a disappointing two over 74.
Gareth Paddison is the only other kiwi to make the cut and will start the day at two under par
Round three is underway and Tataurangi tees off after midday.
