New Zealand will have three representatives playing at the weekend on the PGA Tour after another excellent showing this morning.
Steven Alker, Danny Lee and Tim Wilkinson have all made the cut at the John Deere Classic, with all three Kiwis following up solid opening rounds with another under-par effort to sit in comfortable positions going into the final two rounds.
Alker leads the way out of the trio, sitting in a tie for eleventh at eight-under par after shooting a two-under 69 this morning. After a first-round 65, the Hamilton golfer put together a solid round with three birdies and one bogey to remain in the top 10 and within shouting distance of the lead.
After winning his first PGA Tour title last week, Lee's career-best form has continued as he strung together a second consecutive three-under 68 to be at six-under par for the tournament.
Lee, who will be playing in the Open Championship next weekend, had a bogey-free round, stringing together three birdies on the back nine to be in a tie for 22nd.
