New Zealand's Michael Campbell shot the best round of the day but was still seven shots behind leader Lee Westwood after three rounds of the Scandinavian Masters in Stockholm yesterday.
Campbell recorded a five-under-par 66, to ease his way into a five-way share of third place, at seven under.
Campbell's round included an eagle, five birdies and just two dropped shots. He eagled the par five fifth by hitting his four iron second shot to within a metre of the pin.
Birdies at six, eight and nine took him to five under par before birdies at 15 and 17, with a bogey sandwiched in at 16.
But Westwood distanced himself from the field by moving to 14 under par, extending his lead to six strokes over Maarten Lafeber, who is now eight under for the event.
The Swedish event is Campbell's last before the US PGA Championship starts on August 17.
Greg Turner shot an even par-71 to remain one under.
