KEY POINTS:
Garth Stirrat has resigned from his role as chief executive of the Professional Golf Association of New Zealand. Stirrat stood down last Friday after six years running the organisation.
Acting chief executive Murray Clark said no official reason was given for Stirrat's departure other than he was "seeking greener pastures". A decision was still to be made over whether to seek a fulltime replacement.
"At the moment we're taking a breather to see what direction we want to go in before we make a decision," Clark said.
