New Zealand's Lydia Ko fired a one-under 70 to sit in a share of 24th place following her opening round at the Kingsmill Championship in Viriginia.
Out on the course early, Ko had two birdies and a bogey and sits five shots behind early clubhouse leaders Azahara Munoz of Spain and American Austin Ernst.
Ko had a steady round on her return after winning the Swinging Skirts Classic in San Francisco last month. The 17-year-old hit all but one fairway and reached 16 of 18 greens in regulation.
