New Zealand golfer David Smail secured his fifth career title by winning the Acom International in Japan yesterday.
Smail, the overnight leader by one stroke at the Ishioka Golf Club in Ogawa, improved his advantage to two shots by shooting a closing round of two-over 73.
That saw him finish on 13-under 271, ahead of Japan's Taichi Teshima, who signed for a 68 to finish on 273. Shingo Katayama was third.
Smail pocketed 24 million yen ($310,000).
