Golf: Second round exits for kiwis

New Zealand golfers are out of the Australian Amateur Championships in Tasmania after Josh Geary and James Gill lost their second round matches yesterday.


Gill and Geary won their first round matches in the matchplay section after qualifying over 72 holes of strokeplay.


Mt Maunganui's Geary was edged out by Victoria's Michael Choi on the final hole while Gill, of Hamilton, was beaten 4 and 3 by New South Welshman Mitchell Brown.
