Ryan Fox will look to become the first Kiwi to win the US Open since Michael Campbell in 2005 after qualifying for next week's tournament.
The 31-year-old finished in a share of fifth place at the 36-hole sectional qualifying tournament at Walton Health Golf Club in London, with the top 14 earning their places in the field at Shinnecock Hills in New York.
Campbell won the 2005 Open after emerging from the same tournament.
Next week's will be Fox's first appearance at the year's second men's major, having previously played at the British Open and US PGA Championship.
