Taihape professional Hamish Robertson and Auckland amateur Ryan Fox have secured full playing rights to the 2012 PGA Tour of Australasia after placing in the top 10 during the final stage of qualifying at the Peninsula Golf Course in Melbourne.
Robertson, who came within a shot of the winning the Port Taranaki Open in October, fired a four under par 68 to finish third - comfortably inside the all-important top 10.
Fox, 24, secured a full card in his maiden year as a professional and managed it with rounds of 70, 71 and 72 to place seventh and become the only amateur to progress from qualifying school.
Players ranked in positions 1-10 from the qualifying school will be given full tournament membership of the PGA of Australia next year, giving them the opportunity to compete in all PGA Tour of Australasia events.
Pieter Zwart was the next best of the Kiwis in 15th place after a one under 71 in the final round and earns conditional status, while Jared Pender (31st), amateur Kevin Smith (38th), Nick Gillespie (41st), Sven Puymbroeck (42nd) and Peter Spearman-Burn (55th) all gained conditional cards to the tour.
