Golf: Revamp for course

Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club is to undergo a makeover.

Changes will be made this month to three par-five holes on the links in a bid to counter technological advances in equipment.

Two fairway bunkers will be added to each of the 457m seventh and 498m 12th holes, and the 18th tee will be moved to create a dog-leg right.

Former New Zealand touring professional Greg Turner had a hand in the revamp.
