"We have already done better than last year and the girls are having fun, so hopefully we can finish on a high on the final day tomorrow."
With the rain taking over the mornings play, each round has been pushed back which has cancelled the half day to ensure all games are played leading into the semi-finals.
This means the blockbuster clash between former champions Auckland and defending champions Canterbury is now first thing tomorrow, starting the final day of pool play with a bang.
These two sides have been leaps and bounds ahead of the rest with Canterbury defeating Aorangi 5-0 and Auckland defeating Waikato 4-1 which makes for a great test leading into Saturdays finals.
Bay of Plenty would argue that point after securing their second 5-0 whitewash this afternoon against Tasman. They have been building nicely throughout the week and have all but locked in a semi-final berth which will be against either Canterbury or Auckland.
This leaves one vacant top four position which will be fought closely between North Harbour and Wellington. These two sides currently sit on the same points, but Wellington has the better points differential leading into the intense final day of qualifying.
Interestingly they both play Northland tomorrow and should record wins there, but North Harbour will come up against the in-form Bay of Plenty to decide their fate in a mouth-watering match up to end the day.
Although there were many delays today, thankfully normality will resume tomorrow as we look to lock in our final four starting from 7:30am.
