Golf: Putting for the dough

Vijay Singh, who has a thousand putters, finally found the magic one that enabled him to win the Masters golf tournament - the major championship that absolutely demands putting excellence.

Singh used a brand new putter - and a new putting attitude - this week. Singh used a putter he acquired less than two months ago.

"Two years ago I would have said I can't win this tournament because of the way I was putting. Augusta's greens are so severe that if you are not a good putter you're not going to win here," Singh said.

"The only thing I had trouble with was the greens. But my attitude change (on the greens) was a big boost and that's why I'm sitting here."
